What is the Virtual Graduate School Showcase (VGSS)?

The Georgia Tech VGSS is hosted by Georgia Tech Pre-Graduate & Pre-Professional Advising and the Office of Graduate Education. The event focuses on traditional academic graduate programs (master’s and doctorate). Professional schools such as law, medical, etc. are not included. Graduate programs based in professional schools are welcome.

 

What is the purpose of the Showcase?
  • Provide recruiters a chance to recruit Georgia Tech students
  • Provide Georgia Tech students the chance to learn more about Georgia Tech and non-Georgia Tech graduate programs
  • Provide non-Georgia Tech students the chance to learn more about Georgia Tech and non-Georgia Tech graduate programs
What types of programs can participate?

Traditional master’s and doctoral programs from anywhere in the world can participate. The Showcase is not for professional programs such as medicine, law, etc. Graduate programs based in professional schools are welcome.

What is the Showcase schedule?

9:00am – 12:00pm ET:
Learn about Georgia Tech graduate programs. You will only connect with participating Georgia Tech programs. Check the Meet Georgia Tech page as well as the complete list of participating recruiters.   

12:00pm – 1:00pm ET: Georgia Tech Meet Up
Connect with current Georgia Tech graduate students to learn about their experiences at Tech and in Atlanta. Click here to join the meeting.

1:00pm – 3:00pm ET: Chat with Recruiters
Meet with recruiters from other universities as well as any Georgia Tech programs that are participating.
 Check the Chat with Recruiters section of the website for more details. 

8:30am – 3:00pm ET: Ask an Advisor & Help Desk 
Talk to advisors about different aspects of graduate school by attending our sessions.  Need help with the event in general?  Come into our space with your questions. Participants and recruiters are welcome.

Anyone, anywhere in the world.

What does the event cost?

It’s free!

Will I will be in a virtual conference space?

No. Each program will set up their own links and session structure. Links are posted on the event website in the appropriate section(s) of the event (Meet Georgia Tech and/or Chat with Recruiters). Multiple recruitment sessions will happen at the same time, and attendees will use the individual program links to access their programs of interest.

Is the event in real time/synchronous?

Yes

How late can I register?

You can register as late as October 21, 2022 (event day!)

Do I Have to be there all day?

No! You can come and go as you need and want.

9:00am – 12:00pm ET: Meet Georgia Tech will include a variety of opportunities for participants to learn about specific graduate programs at Georgia Tech ONLY. 1:00pm – 3:00pm ET: Chat with Recruiters gives all attendees time to talk to all participating non-Georgia Tech recruiters as well as any Georgia Tech programs that chose to participate.
